Hello all! It's a beautiful spring day and I thought this little math puzzle would be fun :-) Grab a calculator and a smile because this will be the best 2 minutes of your day! Well, at least for me it will be. Math has always been my favorite subject. To the point where I think it's cool and people think I'm a nerd... woo whoo :-D Here we go!
1. Type in the first 3 digits of your phone number (no area code).
*Example if your number was 555-6767, you would type into the calculator "555"
2. Multiply it by 80
*Example: 555x80= 44,400 (i can't help the examples, it's the teacher in me :-))
3. Add 1
*Example 44,400+1= 44,401
4. Multiply by 250
*Example 44,401x250= 11,100,250
5. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
*Example 11,100,250+6767= 11,107,017
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again
*Example 11,107,017+6767= 11,113,784
7. Subtract 250
*Example 11,113,784-250= 11,113,534
8. Divide by 2
*Example 11,113,534/2= 5556767
You should end up with your phone number!! Let me know if it worked!
